To everyone reading the blog,
1. These days I have noticed an increase in the number of visitors to the blog. This also means that there are also some people, identity unknown, who are reading the blog too. To these people, thank you for visiting our blog. However, meanwhile KK and I have noticed an email requesting to be added to our contact lists. I seriously believe that these 2 changes are NOT a coincidence.
2. Some of these unknown people may have unkind intentions. Hence I would like to caution everyone to be sure of who is adding you to his/her contact list on MSN. In the case that any unknown persons request you to add him/her to your contact list, please check with others before accepting it. It has already been seen that at least one address has requested to be added to our contact list, even more addresses may request to be added (even though it will not be listed here, you may still ask us about it).
3. I have already taken some action against this; the contact list has been taken off the website, however you may still contact me for it if you need it. PLEASE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE IT out of the class without explicit written permission. This may be a case of commercial email harvesting, of which action may be taken against the relevant persons (though I hope not).
4. I sincerely seek your cooperation in not revealing any personally identifiable information on the net / blog, especially your email and other personal information. Please update all antivirus and firewall software frequently, to prevent any viruses / spyware etc. making way into your computer. This may be inconvenient, however it is absolutely neccessary to do so, in the event that these unidentifiable people unwittingly / deliberately send you malware (though it better be not). I do not hope that anyone's computer is affected as a result of this.
5. I hope that with this letter, the blog will belong to our class and NOT to any email harvester. To all, please take notice of the abovementioned, and take the appropriate action. Further action to secure the site against intruders may be implemented in the near future.
