haha yesterday was REAL FUN!! haha nv went for a cls outing tt lasted so long.. close to 13-14 hrs from start to finish if u stay for the whole duration.. bleah was wondering what we were going to do on the beach the whole day but turned out quite interesting. =) i think mainly thx to the ppl tt came tts why it was interesting. haha. yupz b4 i continue you all may wanna take along something to bite or drink as its going to be one heck of a blog entry. wonder how much i'll write... nvm we'll see. ready? here we go...
rights woke up real early at 7 am and went down to habourfront. reached at 8.20 am. at first thought i was first. but after searching around, found abel with his hotdogs and wee kiat later came back frm the toilet. haha another rare occasion wee kiat comes for cls outings.. keep it up ok? haha then it was a wait for the latecomers. yupz after all the people coming in drips and drabs, we numbered abt 16 ppl, with some coming later or couldnt come due to personal reasons. then it was off to sentosa! well for me it was a long time since i last went there lar.. the last time being a visit with my family and uncle who was back in singapore for a month to visit us frm canada. that was like 3-4 years ago i think.
yupz cutting out all the crap of the journey to siloso beach, we arrived to a siloso beach that was EMPTY. i wonder whos great idea it was to come so early to book a spot when the whole beach was at our mercy in fact. -.-"""" yea well since we're their early, me liu xiao and wee kiat decided to take a look around, whilst the others played cards and others still went off to find a ball and frisbee (as zi yang points out above this entry tt he didnt bring =p) yupz made our way down the coastline towards dunno which hotel. passed lifeguards, the beach soccer court, the beach volleyball courts b4 arriving at a breakwater that has a bridge connecting it to the mainland. yupz went over to take in the view of the sea beyond b4 heading back to base camp with a buoy in hand. haha no ball so jus use a buoy in the meantime. too hard to be kicked around with tho. =S but turned out could be used for bowling. haha =) left the buoy at base camp b4 going towards beach station.
hmmm beach station. liu xiao and wee kiat wanted to ride the beach trams. haha they actually go on such cheap thrill. but after a while decided to go with them since there's nothing to do. the ride sucked though. the tram took us to palawan beach, pass the dolphin lagoon b4 u-turning at tanjong beach. all the way each stop was punctuated with the driver announcing for example "palawan beach, food court, 7 eleven." without waiting for anyone he jus said "pls be seated" and drove off immediately. haha so sad tt no one was getting on or off. as i was telling wee kiat and liu xiao, jus create a recording lar. one button to announce the destination one button for "pls be seated". haha =) but after a while he didnt bother to announce le. nobody listening. lol didnt see much actually. jus long strips of beach, with almost nobody on them, except for the occasional kiasu sunbather.
right back at beach station, we met nana who had just came. liu xiao and wee kiat wanted to ride the other tram that brings you to the hotel i talked abt jus now and suggested to bring nana to base camp. well given such a horrid exp the other time, of course i decided to go. haha. along the way jona called tt he had reached beach station, so i went back to get him.
ok cut out the mundane stuff. went back to base camp with jona. zi yang was blowing up nana's beach ball (which is seriously difficult to blow up after i tried) the rest of the cls was playing ultimate frisbee. was abt to join when they stopped for rest. -.- 不给我面子 huh? haha nvm cos paul came back with a volleyball! wahhhh... cost him $28 leh... from 7 eleven. thanks paul! could play beach volleyball after tt. =)
haha beach volleyball. i rmb the last time ive ever played volleyball was primary 5 i think. inter class volleyball comp. my cls lost all 3 matches. 2 of my primary sch clsmates in tt team are in hc now too. guess what? they're in volleyball. LOL =) ritzley and ming seng if you noe them. probably some of you do cos they're frm TCHS. yupz so i was a bit apprehensive abt playing a sport tt ive no confidence in, although i do play virtual beach volleyball at times. LOL *.* ok tt was out of point. so hh, me, nana, zi ying, abel, min hao and jona went over to the beach volleyball courts. we were later joined by sam and zi yang. and guess what? its owned by an a******* who charges ppl $30 an hr to play on a court. SIMPLY EXORBITANT. haiz reduced to playing beside the furthest court away from where he sat. why the furthest court? well when he disappeared from view we conveniently shifted onto the courts and scrambled out when he came into view. haha =) but apparently he was nt tt stupid. he got frustrated by the nth time we tried tt and blew his whistle b4 yelling "EITHER YOU ARE STUPID OR DONT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!!" lol can rmb how we scrambled out of the court. =S
hmmm volleyball-wise, cant say i did very badly can i? LOL ok must be humble. hmmm the game was dominated by net play most of the time. and those balls that make it pass the net ended up out or the return was fluffed. haha hh couldnt control his spiking power and ended up picking the ball countless times from areas way out. =p as min hao says.. "you must CONTROL your power ok?" haha =) a particularly memorable play was involving me and nana. haha the ball came, i passed it to nana and she set it up brilliantly at the net to allow me run up and smack it into the other court. =D pro bah? LOL. with that said volleyball is nt easy to play. the pros you see at the olympics make it look easy.
yupz we played until almost 1 pm b4 heading back to base camp for a quick bite. didnt eat anything tho as i went to change into my spare dri-fit sleeveless shirt. yupz then we went for swim no.1! sadly only a few ppl went to swim with us.. hh sam zi yang nana and me.. well with sam and zi yang out of the picture (for obvious reasons), effectively only 3 ppl were playing. lalala there was the sand battle, the dunking attacks on nana, the singing comp, etc etc. can ramble on and on but it'll make no sense to you all. haha =) hmmm the water was quite warm actually, salty (duh) and dirty. but had fun nonetheless. =) right so we played until 2.45 i think when we spotted base camp being shifted to emerald pavilion due to light rain.
a quick shower to wash off excess salt, sand and sweat (yay alliteration! haha) b4 heading over to emerald pavilion for another bite. tried sam's (or is it zi yang's?) baked potato slices with cheese or something like tt. quite nice =) zi yang's dad's mash potato was top class too. creamy and sour. haha come to think of it zi yang's dad seems to be a master chef, making a lot of stuff for zi yang to bring to sch. haha some ppl decided to play that old primary sch stepping game called pepsi cola. certainly different frm how i played it in primary sch, where you can jump out of the way, as far as i like. i joined in the 2nd game and died pretty quickly. haha =S yupz after a while, went to play ultimate frisbee! game no.2 for some ppl i think, but i missed the first one. played it in the comfort of the pavilion. lalalala another chance to boast. LOL =D i think im the top "scorer" for the match right? hahahahaha okok must be humble again. missed a no. of throws. awry passes at times too. but i must say we played well as we usually were outnumbered by the opposing team. beat ya this time hh! =P tip to ppl hoping to do better at ultimate frisbee: when you see the flight of the frisbee, you can predict where it will fly jus by looking at the way the frisbee is tilted. experience will tell you where it'll go. once you get the hang of it, anticipate and move in the right direction, dont jus blindly follow the frisbee's initial movement. as for throwing, practice makes perfect as usual. haha =)
righto. after that it was a short rest b4 heading for the sea again! lol whats going to the beach for without swimming i tell ya. playing cards and all tt can be done somewhere else right? =P yay at least this time there were more ppl! including the ppl frm swim no.1, we add minhao, mong and xinhui! haha double the no. (excluding sam and zi yang AGAIN for even more obvious reasons), double the fun! haha larger scale sand battles, dunking attempts, battles to retrieve the beach ball that refuses to stay still, etc etc. but this second swim is even more interesting as we did wilder stuff! nana, in her hyper-crazed form, decided to indulge in a ritual tt she does with other ppl at the beach (at least tts what i think). which is to go up the beach, lie down, and roll down it into the sea. -.-"""" even conned us into doing it. of course she started first. then hh. then me. then xinhui. then mong. (hope i got the order right) as for the ever wily and dearest UNCLE.. he decided to NOT participate in such a wild endeavour.. no amt of persuasion will force him to do it. did i rmb him agreeing to do it at least? 甚至和nana勾勾手？ haiyo 君子一言，四马难追 do you noe? (WHOOOPS rmb ok.. 华语cool! LOL) ok the tumble was dizzying but manageable. haha others somehow took it harder and got dizzy. =p
then the next thing tt happened was the ball that got away. yes, im talking abt the beachball. the wind blew the ball into the area where the ground suddenly disappears and the water was extremely cold. mong and i initially wanted to get it but it was too cold and frightening to proceed. so we had to allow it go on its way. thankfully some canoeists were out and helped us retrieve it. not that it helped though. a long lapse of concentration close to the end of the swim saw the ball being blown along the shore line all the way to the bridge ive talked abt earlier, under it, and out of sight. haha well i think nana can sing this song now.

OMG ive nv blogged something tt long.. or maybe i did jus tt i didnt check. haha ok. yupz we went back to emerald pavilion and paul was sooo nice to help us make sandwiches. haha given tt ive taken nothing except for the mashed and baked potato for the whole day, and a lot of sparkling H20, i chowed down a few sandwiches. sausage tuna and egg cheese. nt too bad tho minhao and mong found sausage tuna weird. at least it was ok to me. =) rights after tt i gobbled piece after piece of watermelon to replenish my depleted water reserves. some were sour and perhaps spoilt alr. bleah =S after the 20th piece or something like tt, nana, hh, minhao, mong and xinhui settled down for a**hole daidee. watched for one game, then entered for the next. i conclude tt i was condemned frm the start, as becos i joined in the 2nd game, nana's KIND suggestion was for me to start as the a**hole. -.-"""" as such ive always finished as a**hole or semi-a**hole. haha apparently karma was at play as well. nana finished a**hole for the last game. =p lalalala.

well zi yang and sam went ahead and disappeared when we reached beach station. thinking tt they were way ahead of us, we jus proceeded according to the direction we thought was right. after much scrambling we found the place. it was packed with every seat occupied. since standing was nt allowed, we had to settle ourselves on a pole. nt much of a seat but it'll do. im sure we all had butt pains after the whole show. oh as for sam and zi yang, they apparently took a bus (wrong one at tt) too god noes where and got off. so they had a NICE walk all the way back to the musical fountain i think. ;) as for the musical fountain, i felt it was boring as usual. except for the laser lights, water spurts and pulses of flame, i found nothing else interesting. perhaps the "hello hello" song. haha =) cant rmb the lyrics tho. a bit childish but theres a child in everyone right? with our butts aching we took a grp photo near the centre stage b4 leaving to take a bus back to the departure area, and taking another bus back to habourfront. on the bus there was a whole debate abt what courses to take in uni. but i was too tired to contribute so i jus listened. sam took this video of everyone on the bus, with me jus staring back at the camera, speechless. haha dunno what to say lar. so they help me lor.. what lobster, what nid more aloe vera. thx man i nid tt... haiz
we had dinner at habourfront food court. the only thing interesting was the drinks stall auntie, who apparently was very the 不爽 with us jus buying ice for the excess drinks with us. haha well in the end she did sell us 1 cup and gave the other free. shared it around. yupz then its officially the end of the day.

haha ok tt was lame. =) as nana said, 后会有期 bah! haha =) but apparently it didnt come back, so it stays there, somewhere, jus rollin rollin rollin rollin rollllliin. ok rewinding back in time. the last thing i rmb we did was jus sit there on the shore, taking the waves as they came, riding them out. quite relaxing. =) yupz then something embarassing happened to hh. now tt i think of it, its DAMN embarassing. haha i think i shall nt blog abt it, since i feel its too public here, to give him some dignity. haha but i cant stop other ppl frm blogging abt it or talking abt it, so take care hh! LOL =) ;)
yupz so ends the 2nd swim. haha looking back at this blog post ive realised ive typed a heck load of rubbish. a quick copy and paste tells me tt its already 4 pages on microsoft word!!! OMG ive nv blogged something tt long.. or maybe i did jus tt i didnt check. haha ok. yupz we went back to emerald pavilion and paul was sooo nice to help us make sandwiches. haha given tt ive taken nothing except for the mashed and baked potato for the whole day, and a lot of sparkling H20, i chowed down a few sandwiches. sausage tuna and egg cheese. nt too bad tho minhao and mong found sausage tuna weird. at least it was ok to me. =) rights after tt i gobbled piece after piece of watermelon to replenish my depleted water reserves. some were sour and perhaps spoilt alr. bleah =S after the 20th piece or something like tt, nana, hh, minhao, mong and xinhui settled down for a**hole daidee. watched for one game, then entered for the next. i conclude tt i was condemned frm the start, as becos i joined in the 2nd game, nana's KIND suggestion was for me to start as the a**hole. -.-"""" as such ive always finished as a**hole or semi-a**hole. haha apparently karma was at play as well. nana finished a**hole for the last game. =p lalalala.
yupz next was for a quick bath. brought nothing for bathing, so jus took a water shower at the toilet. on the way to the toilet there was some disgusting and weird talk abt why guys like to wear their underwear high and girls low. haha the topics nana think of. yupz after the shower walked all the way back to emerald pavilion. interestingly the beach tram and miraculously turned into a minibus and tricked us all. -.- could have taken it back to emerald pavilion much more fastly. yupz after packing up, (by then it was alr going 7 pm) we decided to head to our final stop for the day, the musical fountain. haha initially didnt want to go cos ive found it boring the last time i went, but since everyone else was going, ah well, jus go lor.
well zi yang and sam went ahead and disappeared when we reached beach station. thinking tt they were way ahead of us, we jus proceeded according to the direction we thought was right. after much scrambling we found the place. it was packed with every seat occupied. since standing was nt allowed, we had to settle ourselves on a pole. nt much of a seat but it'll do. im sure we all had butt pains after the whole show. oh as for sam and zi yang, they apparently took a bus (wrong one at tt) too god noes where and got off. so they had a NICE walk all the way back to the musical fountain i think. ;) as for the musical fountain, i felt it was boring as usual. except for the laser lights, water spurts and pulses of flame, i found nothing else interesting. perhaps the "hello hello" song. haha =) cant rmb the lyrics tho. a bit childish but theres a child in everyone right? with our butts aching we took a grp photo near the centre stage b4 leaving to take a bus back to the departure area, and taking another bus back to habourfront. on the bus there was a whole debate abt what courses to take in uni. but i was too tired to contribute so i jus listened. sam took this video of everyone on the bus, with me jus staring back at the camera, speechless. haha dunno what to say lar. so they help me lor.. what lobster, what nid more aloe vera. thx man i nid tt... haiz
we had dinner at habourfront food court. the only thing interesting was the drinks stall auntie, who apparently was very the 不爽 with us jus buying ice for the excess drinks with us. haha well in the end she did sell us 1 cup and gave the other free. shared it around. yupz then its officially the end of the day.
