okok i think i shall heed jg's call for blog-post-chain-breaking. whatever. perhaps my last blog post on this blog for a long while. will not post a long one for a while. but doesnt mean i cant post short ones. =)

yupz well today the judo finals was held at yio chu kang sports hall. so near my home! one mrt stop and im home. haha. ok hmmm arrived in time to see the whole B div finals both guys and girls. admittedly the girls' finals were a bit slow going, with both sides trying to throw each other to no avail. ippons were few and far between, and usually due to arm locking and not throwing. well for the B div guys final, hc got off to a roaring start with velden and the 2nd exponent making short work of their opponents with full throws of their opponents onto their backs. approx 20-30 secs each. on fire xia. =) then hc stepped off the pedal a bit, as if letting ri (i think) have some glimmer of hope, letting them win 2 matches to lvl the tie. but the last exponent ended their hopes emphatically in another abt 30-40 sec duel.

as for the A girls finals, we drew 2-2 but lost on some technicality, perhaps we lost becos they scored more ippons than us or on countback. dunno, maybe hh can explain. we drew the 1st match-up, then nichola lost her duel after being arm locked for 25 secs. jiang yue and the next girl won the next 2 duels to bring us ahead, b4 the obviously heavyweight (whoops) opponent came forth to take down our much lighter exponent in a few secs. =( then the ref declared rjc winners. zzz what a way to lose. almost like losing the world cup on penalties.

as for B boys finals, we overran cjc 4-1 despite hh's absence due to THAT incident. the 1st 2 exponents won their matches b4 hindarto sealed the victory with a 25 sec arm lock of his opponent. carl was next, but sadly he was thrown quite quickly. then the last guy sealed the completed the comprehensive victory.

yupz to all those who had a bad day today, esp carl and the A division girls (nichola looked devastated after her match, and even worse when we lost eventually), dun take it too hard yar? feel kinda sad for the graduating batch for coming all the way to lose in such a manner... yea well, nothing much i can do abt it can i? =s

a side comment was on the cheering. almost NON-EXISTENT. i hate to say this, but our jr council's cheerleading skills have much to be desired (im trying to restrain myself frm saying more explicits). it was nt helped tt few college section students came down to support. cheers died down so fast tt it was an embarassment. at one pt during the A girls final, hindarto even shouted at us to give some cheers. haiz. it was made worse tt paul decided to come to hc to lecture, depriving at least 10 students frm each bio cls of the chance of supporting judo. interesting paul went for the lecture too. lol. heard it was quite boring. somemore it seemed tt the sch didnt really encourage ppl to come down. tchs sent a whole lot of ppl, but college was non-existent. there were times tt tchs was cheering one cheer, while we were cheering another. so disorganised and disruptive. =(

ok i better restrain myself frm further criticism. yupz so i think i'll end my long run of blogging here (for a while) with a song dedicated to those who lost or disappointed with their matches or the results.
