Heya people! I see dearest uncle has written something abt me... well shall explain why im such a "great basketball player"... Which i staunchly deny i am one... given that i cannt do half the things basketballers can... like lay-ups, fakes, twists and turns, alley-oops, slam dunks, etc etc... but the basic principle i employed today was simply to treat basketball as an art... power (which i seriously lack) doesnt mean you can score. Its more of technique that gets you places. The way you run, where you run, how you shoot, how you pass, where you pass, is what lets you excel. Perhaps this comes from playing too much soccer during my sec sch days, where you really have to work to run into space, to understand game strategy common to all sports. My style of play is perhaps more of the clean-up type, commonly put in soccer as the "poacher". I seem to have perfected how to be at the right place at the right time when a shot comes out the rim or the backboard.

Simply put, in sports, you have to firstly think about the team. Where to run to allow your teammates to pass to you without interception. Anticipation and vision of the game is particularly valuable in team sports. Keep your minds open to options and scan for free teammates or space that your teammate can run into quickly. Anticipate where the ball will go, allowing interception as well as "poaching" to occur. Go for short efficient passes, long passes usually mean you lose the ball.

Gosh i sound like a coach... Just keep in mind that sports should be viewed as a delicate art form, "barbaric" ways get you nowhere... Yupz thats as much i can say cos im nt qualified to say anything... Cya! =)
