Hello Everyone... Jus returned home... Today had EEP and then went to watch the Netball Finals! Haiz but it was not to be for this year... AC proved too good for HC...
Here's the results... Im not too sure of the exact results... was a bit too affected by the spirit displayed by the players for a dying cause to take notice...
ACJC beats HCI 56-32, after a valiant effort by HC to resist...
Certainly ACJC was too good for us... managing to pull off quite a number of interceptions and fully utilising their height advantage to do long passes across the court... Their Goal Attacker and Goal Shooter were superb... Clearly knew the script inside out and displayed the kind of understanding that almost made them telepathic... Their shooting accuracy was also superb... close to 90 plus percent i think...
Well after seeing HC being comprehensively defeated, I think I'll not talk too much about the match... All i want to say that the spirit and effort displayed by the HC players were indeed commendable... They chased every ball even if it was futile... attempted to intercept passes and sometimes drew fouls... the frustration they displayed when they cant get pass the ACJC players, proving they cared for the result... playing their hearts out... the tears they shed when it was over... the hugs they gave each other, particularly those who played... All point to one thing - they all want to defend the title that they worked so hard to get a chance to defend... It showed they cared, showed their hunger, showed the emotional torture they went through during the match... at seeing something that they worked so hard for fall apart in front of their very eyes... >_<
Well i shall end off here for today...
To the HC Netball team (particularly Sam and Nana although both of u didnt feature much in the tournament):
Your efforts were never in doubt... as long as you tried your best (which you all clearly did)... you should not have any regrets... Just make sure you work as hard as you have for this tournament to recapture the crown next year!
